3D Makers Academy has tested this interesting 3D printer with great results. We ordered the printer and it arrived very quickly in just a couple of days. The price is really good for education institutions as it is around the 300 US dollars.
The assembly process is simple and easy. Many of the components came pre-assembled. It took less than 2 hours and every step was very clear just following the manual. There are some good assembly tutorials available on the internet.
It is an FDM printer with a hot bed of 220 x 220 mm and a maximum printable high of 250 mm. This printer can readh a printing speed of 180 mm/s. Normal speed is between 30 and 60 mm/s.
It has an excellent accuracy of 0.1 mm with a layer size between 0.1 and 0.4 mm. We have worked with 0.4 mm noozles and 1.75 mm filament.
The electricity consumption is 270W. A weight of 9 kilos makes it portable. The board is ATmega1284P with A4988 motor drivers.
We’ve been printing so many objects during the last three months with excellent results. The printer has always been working fine and offers a very high level of accuracy.
